The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will arrive in Sydney on October 20 and leave on October 27, just one stop on their Australian tour which also includes Fiji, the Kingdom of Tonga and New Zealand.
They’ll attend the Invictus Games and make a selection of public appearances. And according to reports, the royal couple are set to stay at a Point Piper mansion, named Villa del Mare, whilst visiting in Sydney in October for the Invictus Games. And with its 8 bedrooms and incredible harbour view, it certainly doesn’t let us down.
There are also an infinity pool, a wine cellar, six bedrooms, a bar, and a gym, according to a rental listing. There’s also various dining terraces where the couple can enjoy their evening meals while watching the sunset over Sydney Harbour.
In 2015, the Villa was listed for $39 million and reportedly sold for $41 million after the former Treasurer Joe Hockey, who is now Australia’s ambassador to the U.S., forced one of China’s richest men to unload it. Lola Wang Li, married to a former renewable-energy-projects heavyweight in mainland China, bought it. And now, allegedly, it will be the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s for a spell.
